Eva Longoria Covers InStyle, Talks Love and Loss
You've come a long way, baby.
She may be the epitome of chic in a white Michael Kors swimsuit, but InStyle's July cover girl Eva Longoria admits her style journey got off to a rocky start.
“I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup when I was young," the actress tells the magazine in its latest issue. "I would melt crayons and try to put them on my lips, and I would use watercolors for eye shadow.”
Well, everyone's got to start somewhere, we suppose. These days the native Texan has graduated to smooth center-parted waves and high-fashion finds like the striped Marni turtleneck sweater, Emporio Armani bikini bottoms, and chunky Jill Golden bangles she wears in lensman Michelangelo Di Battista's summery shoot.
When she's not coming clean about her fascination with false teeth (seriously), the petite beauty (and rumored godmother to pal Victoria Beckham's baby) gets personal by sharing how her divorce to Tony Parker has changed her view on love.
"One thing I did learn is you don’t hold on to the bitterness of the loss; you hang on to the beauty of the love," Longoria says. "Remember all the good things. There was a reason you met someone and a reason why you were together.”
