Frizzy moptop gone, Emma Watson's style has certainly elevated past her type-A Gryffindor, career-making character, Hermione Granger.

And this is intentional, she tells T, The New York Times Style Magazine. You've seen her in quite a few modeling gigs, Lancôme for one, jobs she admits she signed onto to create distance between Emma and Hermione.

We think it's working.

The Harry Potter actress, next up in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, perfected an American accent for her latest gig. She's been mastering the inflection her whole life: "My grandma said — when I was really young and I’d sing along to the radio — why do you sing in an American accent? I guess it was because a lot of the music I was listening to had American vocalists," she tells the publication.

Even though she's doing a bang-up job at faking an accent, Watson's not just your suburban girl-next-door, even if she appears as a more elevated, ideal neighborhood crush, in a Bottega Veneta jacket, Harry Winston studs, and a stunning cat-eye, courtesy of Nars Cosmetics eyeliner (Stylo in Carpates). (Has she been taking beauty cues from Lana Del Rey?)

“I’ll last 10 or 15 minutes in a museum. The problem is that when one person asks for a photograph, then someone sees a flash goes off, then everyone else sort of . . . it’s sort of like a domino effect. And then very quickly the situation starts to get out of control to a point where I can’t manage it on my own,” she says.

Surely there's a spell for that. What would Hermione do?
