Kanye West, Maroon 5 to Perform at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
Let’s be honest: On a catwalk that consists of the world’s most beautiful women strutting around in sexy lingerie, the soundtrack could potentially be an afterthought. Not so for Victoria’s Secret.
For the annual extravaganza that is the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, the retail giant has tapped Kanye West and Maroon 5 to perform.
The two acts certainly have a history with the Angels: West hand-picked Selita Ebanks to star in his “Runaway” music video, is reportedly dating Chanel Iman, and name-dropped everyone from Alessandra Ambrosio to Doutzen Kroes in his song “Christian Dior Denim Flow.”
Maroon 5’s frontman, Adam Levine, meanwhile, is the longtime boyfriend of model Anne Vyalitsyna, who has previously walked in the show.
Past musical headliners include Katy Perry, Akon, the Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Seal (who in 2007 sang a duet with wife Heidi Klum, a VS Angel at the time), Justin Timberlake, Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony, Beyoncé, and, in 2001, Andrea Bocelli (really!).
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will take place in New York City on November 9, and air Tuesday, November 29, at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
