Pregnant Kate Middleton Doll - What Will She Wear?

A toy company in England is skipping the dubious baby-bump speculating and is going straight to creating a pregnant Duchess doll.

"We've had a lot of requests for a pregnant Kate doll from the U.S.,” Lucie Follett of toy company Arklu told the Daily Mail.

The company’s non-expectant Catherine doll has become a best-seller, reportedly raising £16,000 (nearly $25,000) for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and Help For Heroes, charities supported by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

But rather than pondering the whole is-she-or-isn’t-she question (we’re going to trust the Palace here when they say she isn’t expecting), let’s get to the important stuff: like, what should the doll wear?

On the high street front, we're hoping for mini empire-waisted Reiss dresses and forgiving Zara frocks, while one can only dream of a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown to accommodate the fictitious baby bump.

For a casual look, we’re sure the pregnant royal would be loyal to J Brand’s maternity line of jeans, Mama J, with perhaps a petite Smythe blazer?

As far as accessories, L.K. Bennett has some lovely flats, and though Duchess favorite Mulberry isn't in the diaper bag business (yet!), one of its oversized Picadilly styles should do the trick.

Plus, who wouldn't design a custom for Catherine?
