Amy Adams to Play Janis Joplin in Upcoming Biopic

Sweet-faced redhead Amy Adams has shown off her vocal talents in a number of films from Enchanted to The Muppets, but this songstress is about to take on an entirely new kind of singing gig.

In the latest bit of Hollywood news, Amy Adams is set to star as Janis Joplin in the upcoming biopic, Get It While You Can. Though we're still waiting on confirmation from Adams' publicist, the Julie and Julia star is already listed on the movie's IMDb page, which is pretty much seals the deal for us.

While Adams has kept things relatively lighthearted in her previous singing performances, we're curious to see if she has what it take her voice to the raspy Joplin level and belt out some 60s rock jams.
