Backstage beauty: A behind-the-scenes look a the fashion house, from Mulberry's new book.

Looking for a little light reading to tote around in your beloved Alexa bag?

British accessories and ready-to-wear giant Mulberry is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and what better way to look back than with a 480-page tome?

The gorgeous coffee table book, which took nearly three years to create, is photo heavy with work primarily by Venetia Dearden, as well as Richard Foster, Alice Whitby, and Carlo Draisci.

So what’s on those glossy pages? Naturally, the brand’s runway shows and parties will make appearances, as will celebrities sporting Mulberry styles—Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine, Alexa Chung, Lindsey Wixson, Olivia Palermo, and Gemma Arterton are all longtime fans of the brand.

But the behind-the-scenes photos are really the stars. Images of Mulberry creative director Emma Hill working with collaborators like Edward Enninful, Pat McGrath, and Tim Walker as well as shots of the brand’s Somerset factory (according to Mulberry, it’s the last brand-owned luxury-accessories factory in the United Kingdom) really show the inner workings of the English label, which was founded in 1971 by Roger Saul.
