Santa's little monsters? Lady Gaga's Workshop is coming to Barneys for the holidays.

Santa baby! After tapping Carine Roitfeld for its Fall 2011 campaign, Barneys New York has set its sights on a Very Gaga Christmas.

This holiday season, the high-end retailer will collaborate with Lady Gaga on Gaga's Workshop, a riff on the North Pole that will take over the Madison Avenue flagship's fifth floor and store windows beginning in mid-November.

The epic holiday campaign will see the pop star working with Barneys creative director Dennis Freedman, artists Eli Sudbrack and Christophe Hamaide Pierson of Assume Vivid Astro Focus (AVAF), and BFF/Mugler creative director Nicola Formichetti, the latter of whom will be helping her create a selection of limited-edition gift items (hello, mini meat dress stocking stuffers!).

The store, which will feature Gaga-branded packaging and shopping bags throughout the season, will also donate 25 percent of the proceeds from Gaga's Workshop items to a charity of the singer's choice.

Lady Gaga is a rare cultural phenomenon, not only because of her exceptional talents as a singer, songwriter and performer, but also with regard to her support of equality and individuality and status as a fashion icon,” Mark Lee, Barneys New York CEO, says in a press statement. “Partnering with her in this unprecedented collaborative way to create the largest and most all-encompassing holiday theme that Barneys has ever mounted is a thrill. As a New York City landmark, we wanted to celebrate Lady Gaga as a fellow New Yorker and amazing talent.”

Can't make it to New York City? Fret not. Barneys.com will offer a digital version of Gaga's Workshop for couch-bound customers.

Wow. It really is a wonderful life.

Meanwhile, feast your eyes on the luxury department store's 2010 foodie-themed holiday windows.
