The holidays are quickly approaching, and with them come numerous occasions to slip into the perfect party dress. May we suggest this little lace number?
The ivory dress that Audrey Hepburn wore in 1954 to collect her Best Actress Oscar for Roman Holiday will hit the auction block later this month—which means it could be yours just in time to ring in the New Year.
Of course, looking like Audrey doesn’t come cheap. The frock, which was reportedly adapted from an Edith Head costume the actress wore in the film, is expected to go for £40,000 to £60,000 (or $63,892 to $95,838 at current exchange rates).
Being sold by Kerry Taylor Auctions—the same auction house that fetched $125,000 for Kate Middleton’s infamous sheer runway number, bidding for the Audrey Hepburn dress starts November 29.
In related news, Elizabeth Taylor’s Famed jewelry collection will be auctioned by Christie’s in December—see which A-lister is rumored to be snapping it up.
