Katie Holmes Fired Bella Cruise From Holmes & Yang Before Divorce

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise have managed to reach a speedy divorce and custody settlement, but it appears that Tom's daughter Bella Cruise may have been caught in the crossfire.
Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the 19-year-old girl was fired from her apprenticeship at her stepmother's Holmes & Yang fashion label two months before the actress filed for divorce, suggesting that Holmes was eager to cut all ties with her husband.

"There was never any trouble between them," the source, an ex-Scientologist, tells the magazine. "Bella called Katie ‘Mom.’ She was fired out of the blue, and once Katie filed for divorce, it all made sense. This was a carefully planned ambush. Katie didn’t want Bella working for her anymore because she was Tom’s kid."
Holmes is now refocusing on her fashion career, having announced plans to host her first New York Fashion Week show and appearing as a guest judge on Project Runway All Stars.
As for Bella, her career in fashion may be over for now. Then again, surely the daughter of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman will need little help finding work ...
