Nars To Release Andy Warhol Collection
"Beauty is a sign of intelligence," Andy Warhol once said, which makes it surprising that the Pop Art icon is just now getting his own makeup line some 25 years after his death.
In its biggest collaboration to date, Nars has been granted permission from The Andy Warhol Foundation to release a color cosmetics collection inspired by the man who turned Campbell's Soup into a status symbol, Women's Wear Daily reports.
Designed by François Nars, the Nars Andy Warhol line will "showcase innovative packaging, formulas, and shades" in keeping with the artist's unique style, which suggests that some sort of screen printing and Factory-issue silver paint will be involved.

Look for the collection to hit U.S. counters in October, which fittingly also marks the launch of the MAC range devoted to muse Marilyn Monroe. This of course causes another Warhol quote to spring to mind: "I never think that people die. They just go to department stores."
Or, you know, Nars boutiques.
