Daria Werbowy, Betty Boop Team Up for Lancôme Ad
Ready for a major "boop-oop-a-doop" scoop?
Lancôme is getting animated with its new print and film campaign for its Hypnôse Star Mascara, which will see Canadian supermodel Daria Werbowy batting her lashes alongside none other than cartoon cutie Betty Boop.
Due to be revealed in full on July 2, the film short—directed, fittingly enough, by filmmaker/comic book artist Joann Sfar—has the two beauties rocking sparkly black gowns and luscious lashes in a tribute to 1930s-inspired beauty.
And while some models might be threatened by the possibility of being upstaged by a cartoon, Werbowy has nothing but praise for Miss Boop.
"She's charismatic, she's funny, she's exciting ... she's a star," she says in a behind-the-scenes video.
No kidding. Anyone else wondering if they can pull off jet-black pincurls and a garter belt?
