In full bloom: Freida Pinto, Emma Stone, and Ashley Greene on Glamour's May covers

Everything’s coming up roses for Glamour, which has tapped hot young stars Emma Stone, Freida Pinto, and Ashley Greene for three separate May covers shot by photographer Matthias Vriens-McGrath and united by a common floral theme.

While Slumdog Millionaire star Pinto wows in a retro floral-print Peter Som bra-and-shorts combo paired with Louis Vuitton Swarovski rings and tousled waves, Twilight vamp Greene stuns with a pink J.Crew cardigan over a vibrant Nanette Lepore bikini. Golden Globe nominee Stone, meanwhile, rocks sexy blonde waves and a lush D&G dress emblazoned with blooms.

Boasting 14 upcoming films between them, the trio also open up about dealing with the pressures of Hollywood, dating actors, and bringing the industry a touch of diversity.

“I think people are starting to become more color-blind in the industry,” says L’Oréal brand ambassador Pinto, modeling pieces from Prabal Gurung and The Row. “Of course, my Indian-ness cannot be ignored. At the same time, if I am being considered for a romantic comedy, I would like if [the script] didn’t try to inject as much ethnicity into the story as possible.”

Spring fling: Pinto, Stone and Greene inside the May's Glamour

Up next in Butter, rose-clutching Greene unleashes her inner pinup in a Marc by Marc Jacobs romper while discussing her rags-to-riches transformation.

“I’m a big believer in ‘everything happens for a reason,’” she says. “I’m not saying it wasn’t hard. I lived off Lean Cuisine and had no furniture and shared a bedroom with a girl for a year. I ran up my credit card. But every time I thought, I’m going to fail, something happened that kept me here.”

Still, Greene’s not going to let the Hollywood lifestyle go to her head, at least when it comes to partying.

“I keep to the ground rules,” the 24-year-old says. “I’m not going to get drunk at a bar. There are younger girls who look up to me. So I do my best not to stray too far.”

Temptation is also something that Stone—who models both a sleek cutout Versace and a flowing shirtdress from Viktor & Rolf—knows about, though she happily admits she shrugs off any industry pressure to be thin.

“You’re a human being, you live once, and life is wonderful, so eat the damn red velvet cupcake,” she says.
